FS department celebrates #businessoftheweek

The Department of Finance, Tourism and Economic Development has acknowledged a local female designer and fashion studio owner for the work she has done in her career.

According to the department that celebrates local businesses on a weekly basis for their success, Masabata Sekonyela founded Regardless Couture in 2017.

“In 2023, Regardless Couture was featured in various local fashion shows and secured 2nd place in the Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs’ (Destea) local designer’s competition. The competition exposed the business to more opportunities, and Regardless Couture is now part of the TFG sustainable design programme,” said the department.

Furthermore, the department highlighted that the name ‘Regardless Couture’ reflects its mission of nurturing clients’ emotions and confidence.

“Fashion has a unique ability to uplift one’s mood – when you look good and feel good, your confidence soars,” said Sekonyela.
