Phelane Phelane donating blankets to those in need in the Free State

The December holidays are known as a perfect time to slow down and take it easy but this was not the case for community activist, Phelane Phelane, who worked non-stop throughout the holidays to bring joy to the people.

The 39-year old Bloemfontein citizen has a special love for community work as he knows what it is like to struggle through life. Phelane told Bloemfontein Courant he started this journey because he is part of a steering committee of the SAPS youth framework. He is the coordinator for youth around the Free State.

Phelane Phelane gave a total of 7500 gifts to foster children living with their grandparents across the Free State and North West

Phelane, who is known for his community work at various levels, took no days off during the 2020 December holidays. He worked hard to provide community members in need with food parcels, clothes, Christmas gifts and more. He has given a total of 7500 gifts and 250 meals to children and the elderly every day throughout the festive season. With all his projects running during this period, he even found time to collect and donate sanitary supplies to young girls in need.

Phelane took it upon himself to help his community as the Covid-19 pandemic has hit everyone hard and left many without food on the table. He has also started his project to help assist school kids without parents who are in need of uniforms and school shoes.
Anyone who would like to help Phelane in his quest to make the world a better place, can call him on 073 3929 447.
