Free State Fashion Week gives back

Beyang Bana Pele Crèche is an NGO which cares for 150 children between the ages of 2 – 6 years.

Free State Fashion Week (FSFW) and Candy Smith Foundation recently donated over 60 books and various educational toys to the children at Beyang Bana Pele Crèche in Phahameng, Bloemfontein. Led by Face of FSFW, Lungile Mazibuko (26), and Teen Face of FSFW, 13-year-old Mekyla Norval, joy was brought to the children when they handed over the items on Friday 8 February 2019.

Beyang Bana Pele Crèche is a non-government organisation which cares for 150 children between the ages of 2 – 6 years. They provide early childhood education and development facilities for children in need.

“It is an extraordinary experience to give to such heart-warming, loving and hopeful beautiful little souls. I have learned that sharing a moment of yourself with others goes a long way, no matter how short the time was. I am encouraged to charge forward and give more of my time to tread and play with the children sometime again this year,” said Mazibuko.

“FSFW is not just about glitz and glamour, moreover, it’s about reaching out to empower in any way possible. Through this drive, we are able to touch lives in a fashionable way through our foundation,” said FSFW and Candy Smith Foundation CEO, Candy Smith. – Seithati Semenokane
