Free State Premier, Ace Magashule, admitted that the provincial departments of education and health need urgent intervention. Magashule told Courant yesterday, after he had announced a reshuffle in the Executive Council, that the Department of Education faces some challenges, but these challenges are, however, not of a financial nature.
According to Magashule the Department of Education in the Free State has organisational, bureaucratic challenges. He added the Department of Health is also going to be overhauled.
Health MEC, Benny Malakoane, is as of today the MEC for Tourism, Economic Affairs, and Small Businesses Development, replacing Sam Mashinini. Mashinini has been appointed as the new MEC for the Department of Police, Roads, and Transport, replacing Butana Komphela who is now MEC of Health in the Free State. Tate Makgoe remains the MEC of Education in the Free State. Cathy Dlodlo & Christal-Lize Muller
