Kabelo Motsamai, better known as Prince Kaybee, has made it on the list of nominees for this year’s South African Music Awards, (SAMAs) Record of the Year category for his song titled “Better Days”. The track is on the album that has seen him win a Metro FM Award earlier this year for Best Dance Album.
Prince Kaybee is originally from Botshabelo in the Free State and now resides in Bloemfontein.
He released his debut 12-track album also titled Better Days at the end of October featuring artists like Ziyon from Liquideep, Dr Malinga, Thiwe, as well as other young local talent from Bloemfontein and Pretoria that he met through social media and music connections.
Prince Kaybee will be competing with the likes of AKA, Micasa, Black Coffee and DJ Kent in the Record of the Year category which features 20 nominees. This category is voted for by fans.
The awards ceremony will be held at the ICC in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
