Bloemfontein. – Police in the Free State made a breakthrough yesterday in apprehending four suspects, allegedly involved in the abduction and subsequent killing of Tony Teixeira.
His body was found in Virginia on Wednesday, after he was abducted from his Welkom home in the early hours of last Thursday, before he was robbed of household goods, cash and his vehicle.
Teixeira’s body was discovered by a security guard with his hands and feet tied and gunshot wound to the head.
Police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng, says they managed to arrest four suspects and that the investigation is at a sensitive stage.
“We cannot reveal more than the confirmation of the arrests. The four will appear in court on Monday,” Thankeng said.
