Ficksburg Cluster awards


Members from Ficksburg, Senekal, Clocolan and Marquard SA Police Service (SAPS) were awarded last week with appraisal certificates for their outstanding performance.

Captain Phumelelo Dhlamini  said the purpose of these awards is to recognize the best performing members in their respective field of work. The members wrote motivations to explain how effective they used their resources, what impact they had in the reduction of crime and professional conduct and discipline they conducted while performing their duties. The community policing forum members were also invited to participate and motivate what impact they had in their participation in projects to combat crime.

The certificate recipients were nominated from sub component of visible policing. Seven members of crime prevention were awarded, three in the community service center and one detective. Two from liquor and fire arms licenses (DPO), one from court officials, three from police storage (SAP 13) and ten reservists. Also one station commander’s clerk and one sector manager as well as one member form management information centre were all awarded with SAPS certificates with police star.

The members of sub components of Support Service component also participated in these awards. They were awarded as follows. Five from finance, two from supply chain management and one from communication services.

The cluster commander Colonel Polenyana Morake announced at the end of the event that this event will be held annual, it begun last year in Clocolan where the provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khela Sithole awarded the participants with appreciation certificates. He also encourage all members of the cluster to participate in the awards that will be held next year so that they can be inspired to do more and excel in the performance of their duties.
