Local power utility, Centlec, has urged the residents of Ferreira to remain vigilant following a recent surge in vandalism in the area.
This follows incidents where infrastructure, including electricity supply cables and poles, have been stolen.
“Criminals are now stealing everything,” stated Centlec on a Facebook post. “If we don’t report these kind of incidents, we’ll be left with nothing.”
Centlec is calling on all residents in the area to report cable theft.
