The family of deceased South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) legend, Vuyo Mbuli have declined to provide details about the cause of his death. Mbuli (46) collapsed and died during a Free State Cheetahs- Reds Super Rugby match in Bloemfontein on Saturday night.
Mbuli was reportedly watching the game with his son.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased radio and television personality, today received his body from the state mortuary in Bloemfontein.
Acting Free State Director-General, Kopung Ralikontsana handed over Mbuli’s remains on behalf of the Free State government.
Mbuli’s family however declined to address the media on the exact cause of Mbuli’s death after a post-mortem was concluded.
Ralikontsana says the family is expected to make a press statement available later today from Johannesburg. Mbuli’s body was handed over to a funeral service provider and will travel by road, while his wife and family members are due to fly back to Johannesburg today.
