Eight volleyball players to represent Free State in PE

LEE KHOTLELE

Bloemfontein – Mangaung Volleyball Association (MVA) and Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State recently held the Beach Volleyball tournament in which top two teams from both male and female categories to represent Free State in Port Elizabeth were identified.

The winners in the male team were Borja Linage and Rakhiba Nau while Napo Mokoena and Lemohang Possa came out second.

Elsewhere, Nthabiseng Limo and Mmam Poga came second behind the winners, Christian Tsotetsi and Phosiza Mpateni, in the ladies category.

These players will represent the province at the various national tournaments to not only capacitate the players with the needed knowledge of beach volleyball, but also build a formidable foundation of this code.

The first tournament for these teams will take place at the Nelson Mandela Splash Festival on April 18, 19 and 20 2014 at Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape.

Other tournaments include the Durban July as well as the National Beach tournament.
