Eight previously disadvantaged FS schools manage 100% pass rate

LANI FOUCHÉ – Fifty Free State schools achieved a 100 percent pass rate this year, up from 41 last year.

This is according to provincial education MEC Tate Makgoe, who is addressing the annual “Well Done Function” for the top 100 learners at the Boet Troskie Hall on the Central university of Technology Campus in Bloemfontein this morning.
Makgoe says an added thumbs up for the department is that eight schools from previously disadvantaged communities managed to achieve a 100 percent pass rate. These are:

Rantsane SS (Thabo Mofutsanyana)
Glenash CFS (Thabo Mofutsanyana)
Bainsvlei CS (Motheo)
Thapelong SS (Motheo)
Thapelong SS (Motheo)
Albert Moroka SS (Motheo)
Taiwe SS (Lejwelephutswa)
Thiboloha SS (Thabo Mofutsanyana)
Sibonakaliso CFS (Thabo Mofutsanyana)

He says 43 of the underperforming schools of 2012 are no longer regarded as failing schools.
