Duo injured after plane crash in Vaal

Two people are receiving medical treatment after sustaining serious injuries during a plane crash in Vanderbijlpark.

OFM News reports, Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst, says in a release the incident was reported on Sunday afternoon. The plane crashed next to the Vaal River and an adult man and woman were found injured.

Herbst says “when medics arrived on scene they found a light aircraft that had sustained substantial damage after it was alleged the plane hit wires”.

The two were treated on scene by paramedics. “Once stabilised the male patient was flown by Netcare 911 helicopter to a specialist facility. The adult female treated and once stabilised transported to a local hospital,” Herbst adds.
