Dr Shady a household name

Dr Shady de Deejay (whose real name is Letshabo Mahlonoko) from L section Botshabelo, started in the music industry in 2008 as a hip hop artist. This 26-year-old is also the founder of a Sesotho rap crew called Eye Crew.
He started the with talented singers such as Philip Rakaku (Pitty) and Makgera Mohokare (Twiddy) and they managed to released an album titled Bophelo ke monyaka.
Dr Shaddy de Deejay was bitten by the house music bud in 2009 and his star has always been on the rise, he easily positioned himself when he decided to quit the Eye Crew and focus on his comedy career.
In 2011, when he realised that he was in popular demand in the DJ fraternity, he teamed up with his brother, Tumelo “DJ Labenya” Majola, and started his radio DJ career as a volunteer at Mosupatsela FM in Botshabelo.
He played his mix every weekend and ended up being a guest DJ in 2012 where he met DJ Seneath and DJ LBZ and they helped him with shaping his career.
Mahlonoko says he started being a regular on Mosupatsela FM in 2013 as part of Love Train and today he is a resident DJ at one of the reputable clubs in Bothsabelo, called Bar One.
