Bloemfontein. – Don’t expect an early winter as hot weather will be with Central South Africans for some time.

This is the word from forecaster Phemelo Moloabi from the Bloemfontein Weather Service, saying minimum and maximum temperatures will decrease, but it will not be that significant in terms of the current situation with regards to the summer weather currently experienced by the central interior.

Moloabi says it will also be some time before rain is expected, and if the region receives rain it will be isolated. She says looking ahead to the next 14 days, 30% showers and thundershowers will mainly in the afternoon but there are days that it’s more favourable for the eastern parts of the Free State and North West where it’s about 60%, but no big systems yet.

"Looking ahead for rainfall for the late summer and also into autum, we are forecasting below normal rainfall for the central parts of the country, for the next two to three months," Moloabi added.
