DUANE PETRUS – A Bloemfontein doctor charged with the alleged rape of his patient over the weekend has been released on R2 000 bail. The 32-year-old doctor allegedly raped the 45-year-old woman in his office when she went to obtain a prescription from him. The doctor was previously fined $3 000 in Canada after he admitted to having a sexual relationship with an underaged patient. He was arrested on Saturday. Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says he will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on 22 October.
