Tumisang Cetywayo (28) from Seroalo in Thaba Nchu, the founder member of the DJ Maestro T Foundation, uses his skills as an event planner to change people’s lives.
DJ Maestro T Foundation is a non-profit organisation that helps people around Thaba Nchu. The foundation was established in 2016 with the aim of helping less fortune people in Thaba Nchu, especially school learners.
So far the foundation has three events in the pipeline, of which the June 16th Youth Day Celebration at the Mmabana Stadium will be the first. “Our second activity will be the 67 minutes for Madiba project, during which we will be handing over food parcels to learners of the Mokae Primary School as part of celebrating the life of Tata Nelson Mandela.
“We will also be donating 40 pairs of school shoes – 20 for boys and 20 for girls. We are currently running a sanitary towel campaign that started on 1 February this year, and our plan is to donate to five different schools in Thaba Nchu by the end of this month. This my way to give back to the community. I don’t like to see someone suffer or struggle when I can do something to help that person.
Our future plans for the DJ Maestro T Foundation is to help more less fortunate people with foods parcels, clothes and study bursaries,” concluded Cetywayo.
