Disgruntled ANC members return to court

A group of disgruntled ANC members in the Free State regards the Provincial Elective Conference to be held at the Ilanga Estate in Bloemfontein tomorrow as illegal and says they will not in any way be part of it.
The group is dragging the party to court next week to have the conference nullified.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Isaac Moroe, says the conference undermines the ruling of the Free State High Court after the court declared the conference, which was held last year December in former ANC Provincial Chair Ace Magashule’s hometown Parys, as null and void.
The group says the planned conference also denies ANC members who are not Magashule-supporters from being elected constitutionally.
Amongst others, they also allege that not all processes were followed at branch level and that the decision to convene the conference was not inclusive.
The party had to reconvene 14 BGMs, regarding which the Provincial Task Team Coordinator, William Bulwane, has gone on record to say 70% of them have already been re-run.
The group’s Ntamo Monnapule further refuted allegations that they do not have ANC memberships, calling it “mischievous”. – OFM News
