Designer wants to inspire

Boitumelo Jerry Legegeru

Working his way to the top, Bloemfontein born and bred Boitumelo Jerry Legegeru has not only taken the design industry by storm but is out on a mission to create a better future for himself as well as other young creatives.

The 24-year-old was granted an opportunity to work with some of the biggest channels and TV productions such as Real Goboza, Live Amp and YoTV in a short space of time. Creative designer Legegeru is currently employed at Urban Brew Studio where he applies his skills on computer software such as Adobe Creative Suite and 3rd-Generation computer programs.

According to him, his dream is to one day own a design studio as well as seeing the Free State province gain and build its own studio to help creatives grow. “For other young creatives out there, I would like to say: the secret to exceptional success doesn’t lie
in natural ability, but in deliberate practise. Don’t fear the future. God is already there. You are going to make it and you must believe it. Keep your heart and spirit positive and do what you love. Not everyone around you will believe in you but only you can prove them wrong. Always remember you have a choice. Choose to win and make it big,” are his words.

Legegeru completed his schooling journey in 2013, after which he enrolled at the Central University of Technology (CUT) to study Design and Studio Art, specialising mostly in graphic design. “What drives me mostly, is my goal. In the past two years I realised that I have so much potential and I am capable of having my own studio one day. I am not saying it will be easy but when you have the right people in your circle and people who motivate and want what’s best for you, everything is possible, not forgetting believing in God and His timing,” he concluded.
