According to former DA member in the Free State, the party is using black leaders as tokens.
Basil Alaxander said DA provincial leader Patricia Kopane is currently in her position because of her skin colour. Alaxander was speaking at an ANC event in Bloemfontein on Tuesday where he announced that he will be leaving the DA for the ANC.
He said for the last couple of months heading to elections, the DA has tried very hard to get good black leaders and it has failed. Alexander added that the party is allegedly not honest with their current situation and themselves.
“I really build this party to where it is today but you can see right from the top that the leader Helen Zille is trying to be like the ANC and even dance like them which with her it is normally out of tune,” said Alexander.
