The Democratic Alliance in the Free State is set to march for change and service delivery in the Mangaung Metro. The party has revealed its plans to march through the streets of Botshabelo tomorrow in a media statement released this morning.
According to the statement there has been an alarming deterioration in the quality of service delivery in recent months due to inefficient management of the sewerage infrastructure, water supply and refuse removal.
The DA says this has largely been caused by poor financial management, nepotism and badly managed departments within the municipality.
DA Free State Provincial Leader, Patricia Kopane, together with the DA’s Mangaung Constituency Head, Werner Horn, DA Mangaung’s Constituency Chairperson, David Masoeu, and DA Mangaung’s Caucus Leader, Hardie Viviers, will lead the main march in Botshabelo.
The march will start at the open space next to Lenyora la Thuto Secondary School in at 10:00 and will proceed to the open space next to the Kaizer Sebothelo Stadium.
A speech will be delivered by Kopane at 11:00, after which the DA will hand over a list of grievances to the Mangaung Metro in Bloemfontein.
