The national opposition Democratic Alliance party on Friday said it planned an inspection of incomplete income-generating projects lying idle in Thaba Nchu and Botshabelo in the Free State province.
The DA said there were still no answers on why a piggery project supposed to have been completed in four months from April 2017 had been abandoned by June of that year.
Another plastic recycling project in the area was also left unfinished.
In Botshabelo, the Fourways business hawkers stalls meant to assist entrepreneurs to run their businesses were also lying unused, the party said.
The area had become a dumping site for unwanted garbage.
“The DA has previously submitted a raft of questions to establish the exact cost of these projects and how much has been paid to the contractors thus far,” the party said.
