Free State DA leader Patricia Kopane says winning Ngwathe Municipality by-elections proves that they are capable of bringing change.
She says the results are evident that the DA continues to grow in the province. Kopane says they are excited of the victory against ANC during the by-elections in Parys ward 18 last week.
She says it marks a 9% increase in favour of the DA from 2011 elections. Kopane says people are no longer allegedly fooled by the ANC.
“People realise that the Democratic Alliance is about clean governance and service delivery, that’s why people voted for the DA. People came out in numbers to vote for the DA. Out of 1606 votes we received, the ANC only got 51 votes. This really shows the people believe in us and we really promise them that we will do better service delivery in that ward,” says Kopane.
