CUT to host LGBTQIA+ panel

The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) will on 23 July host a LGBTQIA+ panel that is focused on reflecting, empowering, and uniting communities in the Free State. This panel is hosted by CUT’s Institutional Renewal and Transformation Unit (IR&T), in conjunction with the Wellness Centre.

Under the theme, ‘Reflecting, Empowering, and Uniting Our Communities’, the panel aims to emphasise the importance of social cohesion and coexistence between LGBTQIA+ individuals and the broader community. This is according to a statement by CUT.

“The event aims to raise awareness and educate the CUT community about LGBTQIA+ individuals and the challenges they face both within and outside the university.”

The panel is set to take place at the Japie van Lill Auditorium on the Bloemfontein campus from 14:00 to 16:00.

Follow CUT on Facebook for more information.
