CUT intensifies support to matric learners

The Central University of Technology today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Council for the Bult Environment to improve the quality of education in the Free State Province.

The University’s spokesperson, Dan Maritz, says the partnership will particularly assist matriculates battling with maths and science. He added that this is to ensure that the province is to remain in the top position when it come to the provision of quality education.

“The support that we are getting today from the council is preciously to ensure that we strengthen our Saturday school programme in such a way that we are able to provide continues support to many of our learners coming from as far as Thaba Nchu and Botshabelo area”.

Maritz says approximately 27 schools are currently part of the project.
