Crisini dough
This dough was used to shape the heart bread sticks….
630g | cake flour |
10g | instant yeast |
10g | salt |
375ml | water, at room temperature |
30ml | olive oil |
Method:
- Combine flour, yeast, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Add water and olive oil to the dry ingredients – knead into a firm dough.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled mixing bowl. Cover the container with cling film and leave the dough to ferment at room temperature until doubled in volume.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- On a floured counter, roll the dough out into a rectangle.
- Cut the dough into strips of equal width. A pizza cutter works very well for this.
- Roll the strips of dough into thin bread sticks (make heart shapes) and bake on a lightly oiled baking tray for 10-12 minutes or until crispy and light brown.
