Standard Bank and Honey Attorneys have taken the initiative on Wednesday 4 September to sponsor Tjhabeleng Primary School with a cheque of R100 000 to help with the basic needs of the school.

Tjhabeleng Primary School is an independent school, which is reliant on private and corporate funding. Its aim is to provide for underprivileged children of the rural Bainsvlei Community and giving them a pathway out of poverty.

“Standard Bank became involved because as a bank we need to make sure that our communities are looked after,” said Anton Nicolaisen, Provincial Head of Standard Bank in the Free State and Northern Cape. H. Buchner, CEO of Honey Attorneys, told Bloemfontein Courant that they planned to visit the school and spend the day with the children and to invest in their future by handing over this donation.

“We hope to do more for the children of the school in the future,” Buchner concluded.
