Meanwhile, the Health Minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize, last night announced that 3 370 new cases were recorded within the last 24-hour cycle, bringing the total number of the virus in the country to 781 941.

Mkhize also announced that the total number of deaths stand at 21 378 and the total number of recoveries is 722 876.

“It has become important to discuss digital transformation in health. The continuity of care is ensured through reliable electronic patient records,” Mkhize adds. This, amidst the fear of a second wave of the virus.
