Consistency is key – CUT defender

Bloemfontein – Bongani Mohomane of Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State football team is happy with his performance that constantly earns him a place in the starting-line up.

Bongz, as he is known, is one of the consistent players in CUT’s line of defense, and hopes to keep it that way.

Mohomane told Courant Sport that he hopes to perform his best week in and week out and help his team achieve good results.

“It is my goal to win the league with CUT and I believe we will reach that goal,” added Bongz.

“I am happy with the form I play. We are working hard as a team to be able to give our all.”

The CUT defender was named Man of the Match in his side’s 5-2 win over Real Hearts, and went on to display a great performance on Wednesday against log leaders, Super Eagles.

Goal scorer, Orapeleng “Pajero” Manopole was rewarded for his outstanding performance against Eagles. Mohomane feels it shows the quality in the CUT team.

“We are performing way above our expectations, but our coach told us not to let it get to our heads,” he added.

“I think we can do better. We are a side with quality players so we can do better. I am confident in the team,” concluded Mohomane.

In their next match, CUT host Harmony FC on Saturday at CUT Sport ground. The match kicks-off at 15:00.
