Lelapa is a new Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) initiative established by Child Welfare and Childline Free State. The NGO is an independent service provided to the public. “We have the knowledge and professional social workers that are cheaper than the private sector. Therefore we want Lelapa to systematically become financially independent and a good affordable service to the community,” said Lize du Plooy.
Child Welfare Bloemfontein and Childline Free State strives to develop and maintain sustainable ways to be able to continue with services with the expertise from social workers and other support staff already within the organisation.
To launch such an independent service the organisation needs funds to establish and maintain the service.
Child Welfare Bloemfontein is hosting a Valentine’s Charity Ball in hopes of raising such funds. Come and experience a romantic and glamorous evening, whilst supporting children in need. Be part of the future and the sustainability of Child Welfare Bloemfontein and Childline Free State.
An exquisite menu by the best chefs await you. Winners of My Kitchen Rules 2017, Jamandi and Machiel Bekker and semi-finalist Brent Lindeque and Andrew Ross round off the evening with a “dessert to share”.
