The community organisation Asez will once again have a clean-up campaign in Park Road in Willows, Bloemfontein this Sunday. Asez, meaning “Save the Earth from A to Z”, is an international volunteer group of the Church of God and is made up of university students around the world. The group do volunteer work by cleaning different areas in different cities.

Collen Nkuna, assistant leader of the organisation, told Bloemfontein Courant that they want people to be aware of their cleaning  campaign. “It is mostly students who help with the clean-up. We want to make students more aware of the environment. We are also doing this to reduce crime,” he said.

Nkuna said that they chose Park Road because it is so close to the Central University of Technology, because there are students around. The clean-up campaign will take place on Sunday 19 January 2020 from 08:00 to 11:00. Anyone is welcome to join and help with the cleaning.
