The Tough Guys Club came together on Saturday, 7 December 2019 to make wishes come true at the Children’s Ward at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein.

The non-profit organisation is in the mould of a social club/stokvel but also has an investment wing. It is run by 23 men whose aim is to create culture of saving and investments.

The Christmas Party formed part of their community service as well as one of their activities as a build up to their 30 year anniversary. According to Tebo Manaka it was important that they chose the Pelonomi children’s ward in order to bring some festivity to the hospital as well as support children from disadvantaged families.

“It is the festive season and Christmas is a time to give. We thought we should have a bit of a delight to say merry Christmas to them away from their homes and families. We bought children gifts and some healthy snacks such a syoghurts, chips, etc. We even have a father Christmas from TGC, ” said Manaka.

This year is the first year the club hosted a Christmas party at the Pelonomi children’s ward but the group has been doing a tremendous amount of community service throughout the years.
