Bloemfontein Celtic’s number one supporter, Botha Msila, is currently hitchiking from Cape to Cairo in support of the national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, in their African Cup of Nations tournament participation from 21 June to 19 July 2019.
Msila has embarked on a self-branded tour “Cape to Cairo”, travelling from Cape Town, South Africa to Cairo, Egypt. He is hitchhiking to attend the African Cup of Nations tournament.
He started his journey on 6 June 2019 at 07:00, when he departed from Cape Town. At around 23:50 he had arrived in Bloemfontein, updating his followers about his progress on Twitter. At 09:00 on 7 June Msila was at the hiking spot in Pretoria East, ready to tackle the journey ahead. At 14:05 he entered Polokwane and was heading for Zimbabwe.
He arrived at the Beit Bridge Border Post between SA and Zimbabwe at 19:08, and at 13:47 on 8 June he arrived in Zambia. At 18:34 he met up with his friend, Alvin Zhakata, who hosted him for the night. At 12:30 on 10 June he arrived at the Tunduma Border Post between Zambia and Tanzania, and at 19:35 he updated his followers, sharing that he was now on his way to Kenya, arriving at 06:38 on 12 June 2019.
