The case against a 31-year-old man, who is believed to have fired at his father in their home in Fauna, Bloemfontein, has been remanded until July 11.
Tshognelo Shale briefly appeared in the local Magistrate’s Court this morning on charges of attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a public space.
The accused was arrested on Friday evening after he allegedly fired four shots at their home in Tsessebe Street before he fled with his father’s bakkie. The vehicle was later found in Bochabela at a friend’s house.
It is believed that Shale accused his 54-year-old father of having a romantic relationship with his girlfriend.
