You can be singing with The Soil

The Soil group is visiting Bloem as part of the #EXPERIENCETHESOIL National Tour next month.

Members of the ever so popular acapella group, The Soil, are making their way to the City of Roses next month as part of their #EXPERIENCETHESOIL National Tour.
The #EXPERIENCETHESOIL National Tour, which started on 29 April at Umfolozi Casino in Empangeni KZN, and The Soil will be on stage at Pacofs in Bloem on 25 June as part of this tour.
Native Rhythms took The Soil on a nationwide tour in 2013, which started the Campus Tour. The popularity of the tour soon gave birth to The Reflections Tour in 2014 and was subsequently followed by The Nostalgic Moments in 2015, taking from their award-winning and platinum selling album.
This year The Soil, as the most sought-after acapella group, is back on the road with its new offering
The Soil invites interested local vocalists (who will be carefully selected) to post their videos on Facebook, singing their songs and those of The Soil in order for The Soil fans to decide and choose the one they believe is the best to open for the group. The winner(s) will share the stage with The Soil and also get a chance to collaborate with the group on one song. Above all, each city and event will have a local act selected to join in the #EXPERIENCETHESOIL Tour. The competition is now open to all Free State artists who will join The Soil at Pacofs.
The Soil currently consists of three members, Buhlebendalo Mda (Soil Sister), Ntsika “Fana-tastic” Ngxanga and Luphindo Ngxanga (Master P). Ntsika and Luphindo are biological brothers. The group’s inception came about in 2003 when all the members met in high school during jam sessions. Back then the group was known as Particles of the Soil and consisted of more than 25 members. As years passed, some members departed due to other engagements. In 2010, the group was down to four members: Buhlebendalo Mda (vocalist), Ntsika Ngxanga (main composer and vocalist), Luphindo (beatboxer and vocalist) and Motif Records signee, Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, commonly known by his stage name, Samthing Soweto. Mdolomba was involved during the recording process of the group’s first album, however, due to contractual disputes, Samkelo decided to leave and form the contemporary jazz group, The Fridge, where he serves as the lead vocalist.
In 2011, The Soil released its self-titled debut LP, The Soil, which achieved platinum status, selling over 50 000 copies. The sophomore album, Nostalgic Moments, was released digitally on iTunes on 15 September 2014. It was made available for hard copy purchase on 22 September 2014. The album includes guest appearances by the Grammy award-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo and multiple award-winning hip hop artist, Khuli Chana.
