Caleb Mosthasbi triple murder suspect forges ahead with bail application

One of the three murder accused suspects, Seipati Ramatisa, in the Caleb Motshabi triple murder case of two DA members and a foreign national from Lesotho, will on Wednesday 9 October 2019 push ahead with the bail application.

Her push for this bail application at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court in the Free State follows after two other co-accused – first accused Lebusa Makhotla and Jabulani Macholo – abandoned their bail applications during their last court appearance in September 2019.

The State prosecutor, Johan de Vries, confirmed to OFM News on Wednesday morning that Ramatisa will today appear in court for her bail application process.

This after Ramatisa and the other accused were arrested in July for the murder of Molokwane Mkgoro and the Lesotho national, who were found in a field, and Godfrey Mbalula who died in the Pelonomi Hospital.

Mbalula is said to have died in hospital as a result of the wounds sustained from the shooting after being admitted.

In the accused’s previous court appearance, the Democratic Alliance members flooded courtroom 20 in solidarity with the loved ones of the deceased. However, despite the confirmation by De Vries that the two abandoned their bail applications, both Makhotla and Machola are in court. Ramatisa, who is pushing her bail application, has also just been brought up separately from accused number one and two in the matter.
