Busamed Bram Fischer Private Hospital has officially relaunched their maternity ward after it had to close the ward down due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Mrs Amanda van Rensburg, the Hospital Manager welcomed all attendees on 15 August 2024 to celebrate this milestone. The maternity ward has eight maternity beds and two labour rooms.
The Nursing Manager, Sr Natassia Smit mentioned that there are more specialists, staff, and even midwives. To ensure Busamed’s Premium Care Personal Touch is upheld, the specialists are made up of five obstetricians and three pedeatricians. The ward also is an added support for the Paediatric ward which reopened on 6 April 2024. Unique to Busamed and the culture of Premium Care, there will also soon be an executive suite for both the partner and the expectant mother. It will accommodate the father to overnight as well. It will consist out of 5-star features, and various menus to ensure that all their needs are addressed.
Newborn mothers can also now register their child at the comfort of their room as the maternity ward includes an office space for Home Affairs. This will ensure that even though the patients have been discharged, the mother can still register the baby within a month’s period.
Busamed Bram Fischer Private Hospital is excited to establish long-lasting relationships with young growing families. For more information on the monthly maternity workshops or a private tour of the facilities you can contact the Marketing Manager, Karlien van Tonder at KarlienVT@Busamed.co.za
