The community of Wepener has been notified of possible water interruptions in the area due to a burst pipe in town earlier this week.
The pipe is on the corner of De Beer Street and De Wet Street and will affect water supply in the Wepener city centre and adjacent areas.
The Mangaung Metro spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, confirmed that water tankers are, in the interim, being organised for the school in the area and all affected areas.
“We will constantly update members of the community on the progress. The city apologises for the inconvenience caused,” Khedama concluded.
