It’s that time again where Brebner Primary School is ready to wow Bloemfontein with its revue, which will be taking place on Thursday 5 September at 18:30 and on Friday 6 September at 18:30. The theatrical production will take place in the Sand du Plessis Theatre. Tickets are available from Pacofs.
The school has staged many revues that date back to the 1978s. In 2006 it moved its productions to the Sand du Plessis Theatre. The last four productions were Century of Broadway (2006), Brebner Brock (2008), Ma(y)nia (2010), The Smurfs save the Seven Wonders (2013) and Respect (2017).
Brebner has established a tradition of including a wider community of talent such as a professional choreographer, local stage directors and musicians. This year it will be done through an original, self-written script, using the characters, learners and well-known songs. This year the revue promises to be a big treat for everybody once again.
According to Anine Greyling, year the school is looking forward to be working with Willie Venter (choreographer) to stage this musical and cultural experience. Venter is well known for his choreography for Huisgenoot Skouspel, Afrikaans is Groot, Top Model SA and is also a patron for the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir.
