Bread delivery driver robbed at gunpoint


Police are searching for two armed suspects after a truck driver and his passenger were robbed at gunpoint in Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus on 25 February 2019 at 12:15.

The 35-year-old truck driver was with his colleague, busy delivering bread in Allanridge and Odendaalsrus. After they had finished with their deliveries, they bought food and parked the truck on the side of the road near K10 in Kutloanong to eat. Suddenly two unknown African males approached them at gun point.

According to the police, the armed men entered the truck and drove off on a gravel road on the farm near the graveyard, where they took an undisclosed amount of cash and two cell phones and locked the victims at the back of the truck. The suspects then returned the victims’ cell phones, informing them that they would find the keys of the truck underneath it.

One of the suspects was wearing gloves and a hat, with his face covered and only his eyes were visible. The other suspect had many tattoos on both his arms.
