Body of missing Koffiefontein social worker found

“Nothing was missing from her car, and her purse and cellphone were still inside the vehicle.”

Free State police have opened an inquest docket after the after a body of a missing Koffiefontein social worker was discovered at Kalkfontein dam on Monday (11/12).

Jessica Michael (28) was reported missing on Wednesday (6/12), according to Free State police spokesperson Loraine Earle.

The deceased’s colleagues say she didn’t report for work in the morning. They last saw her the previous afternoon at around 15:00, but grew suspicious when she did not answer their calls   when they tried to contact her.

Investigations revealed the deceased dropped off her child at her mother’s home and never returned to pick her up after work.

Her car was discovered at the Kalkfontein dam wall. Nothing was missing from her car and her purse and cellphone were still inside the vehicle. Her body was found nearby by a police search team.
