Bloemfontein police seek robbery suspect

Detectives from the Bloemfontein Serious Organised Crime Investigation unit are looking for 34-year-old Letsika Cosby Mmola, the accused in an ongoing robbery case.

Mmola and a group of suspects allegedly robbed a cash delivery van of an undisclosed amount of cash on 22 November 2022. In 2023, Mmola was arrested and released on bail of R5000.

“The Free State Division of the High Court of South Africa in Bloemfontein authorised a warrant for his arrest when he failed to appear in court on 3 February 2025,” stated police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Zweli Mohobeleli. “He was last seen in Gauteng a day before his scheduled appearance.”

Anyone with information on Mmola’s whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Warrant Officer Jan Basson of the Hawks on 071 481 2808 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
