Members of the Provincial Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) in Bloemfontein pulled off a successful bust, arresting three suspects for drug dealing after an intelligence-driven operation.
According to Free State police spokesperson, Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli, on Sunday 2 November at around 10:00, the AGU got a tip-off about a house in Freedom Square that was allegedly being used as a drug den. “Acting on this info, they raided the place and during the search, found a big stash of drugs like tik and Mandrax worth an estimated R20 000, hidden under a car parked in the yard,” he said.
Three people were at the house at the time, two women and a man, aged 18, 30 and 32, and were all subsequently arrested. A case of drug dealing has been opened at Kopanong SAPS, and the suspects are due to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court.
