According to Bloem Water spokesperson, Kido Thoabala, the alleged fraudsters claim to come from Bloem Water with a list of vacancies that are available. She says in a statement that the fraudsters promise the public jobs and that in order to secure employment at Bloem Water, they have to pay a fee of R1000.
Thoabala also explained that Bloem Water advertises vacancies in a professional manner and do not ask the public to pay any fee. Vacancy advertisements are done through conventional media platforms such as their website, local and provincial newspapers, as well as social media.
