The Mangaung Metro Municipality has issued a statement informing residents that Bloem Water has started filling the lines following the repair of a burst pipe. The next step in their process will be to pressurise the Uitkyk to Brandkop trajectory.
Water will be supplied to Dewetsdorp and Wepener, before normal water supply will resume in Bloemfontein this afternoon. To ensure that pressure is well managed, the water networks will be filled slowly.
Residents are also reminded that low-lying neighbourhoods will be receiving water before higher-lying areas due to favourable topography.
The Mangaung Metro Municipality statement went on to apologise for inconvenience caused.
