Bloem Show back ‘like it never left’!

There was great excitement among the many Bloemfontein residents who were in attendance at the first day of the Bloem Show on Wednesday. This after they had to close their doors for two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bloemfontein Courant’s Justine Fortuin and Corn Koteli sifted through the many visitors who showed up for the first day, to hear what they had to say about Bloem Show finally making a comeback after many months.

A group of friends who were attending the Bloem Show for the every first time, said that they were thrilled to be there. “We all can’t wait to go on the rides and have some good food. We are also looking forward to seeing how the rides light up once its dark,” said Shiri-Kay Wiessie.

Siya Radebe and Nontobeko Nkosi both said that it is great to have something as fun as the Bloem Show back after having to be indoors because of the pandemic. “The environment and the atmosphere is exciting. We are excited to see so many people out and about. It’s amazing to see people from different backgrounds coming out to have a good time.”

A group of matric girls said they are super excited to have the Bloem Show back, especially in their matric year. “I can’t wait to go on the rides,” said the one, while the other said, “I am definitely here for the food!”
