Street dancer and crowd favourite, Rambuti Marema, won himself an opportunity to represent the City of Roses at the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final in Pretoria, come October.
Marema was crowned as Bloemfontein’s Dance Your Style qualifier, after an audition was held at Hoffman Square on 30 July 2022. Despite a large number of entries, Marema managed to make it through to the top 16, ultimately taking home the trophy.

The top 16 had to battle it out and it was clear from the start that the Pantsula star had grabbed everyone’s attention from his very first jump.
“To be honest, I was not expecting to make it to this competition today due to personal problems I was faced with at home but I am so glad I convinced myself to be here, because I would have missed out on the best opportunity yet,” Marema said.
As the National Final is drawing closer, Marema plans to prepare himself as best as he can, with the hope of winning and pinning Bloemfontein on the world map.
The Master of Ceremonies (MC) of the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition, Elly Majola, said the World Final is expected to be hosted by South Africa. “We are looking for the one person who will represent South Africa on that world stage,” Majola said.
Over 30 countries will bring their best street dancers to the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Johannesburg later this year.
