Bigger, bolder and better

Women’s Month is all about giving commendable women their flowers, and 42-year-old mother of two, wife to an amazing husband, and festival director of Lemo Fest, Mosele Lepheane, does exactly that.

Lepheane is the festival director of Lemo Fest, SA Tent-pegging Championships, and various other events where she focuses on creating memorable and impactful event experiences. She is also currently a coach for GIBS Business School.

“I am also involved in livestock and crop farming, where we focus on pig farming and hydroponics farming. My work in both industries is driven by a commitment to innovation and community impact,” Lepheane mentioned.

Lepheane’s love for beautiful things has allowed her to combine her passion for the arts and skills in project management. This also enabled her to be the festival director of Lemo Fest, which has been incredibly rewarding to her.

“The role comes with its challenges, but it’s also a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with talented individuals and create a platform that celebrates music, culture, and community,” Lepheane mentioned.

Lepheane believes in setting clear goals, staying focused, and being adaptable to change. Lastly, I make it a point to stay curious and always look for new ways to innovate and improve.

“My advice to younger women is to believe in your abilities and not be afraid to step into industries where you may be underrepresented. Embrace challenges as learning experiences, seek out mentors, and never stop advocating for yourself and your ideas,” Lepheane concluded.
