Bheki Cele to visit FS to inspect Safer Festive Season Operations

Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will be visiting the Free State on Saturday, 21 December 2019, to inspect the SAPS Safer Festive Season Operations. The visit forms part of the efforts by the South African Police Service to turn the tide against crime this festive season.

Cele will embark on community engagement by visiting public spaces, and also inspect police operations and multi-disciplinary road blocks, to assess the safety plans in place ensuring residents and holiday makers in the province are safe during the holiday season.

He will be accompanied by the MEC of Police, Roads and Transport, Sam Mashinini and the top management of the South African Police Service.

The day’s events will take place as follows:
