Bloemfontein sisters, Rethabile Lesole and Diteboho Banda, together with their friend and now business partner, Kamohelo Rasoeu, have established their own wine brand, Kaho704, and have hopes to be locally relevant and internationally competitive.

The trio, despite various challenges, established their own Red Bordeaux wine blend. Kaho704 is a collaboration of two companies, Seven.0.Four and Kaho Creations. “The companies are examples of how, with great aspirations and hope, your dreams become valid and attainable. We would like to introduce a culture of valour, not only to the consumers, but also to investors,” said Lesole.

Lesole, who was born and bred in Bloemfontein, is a young professional who is passionate about making healthy lifestyle choices and making simple things that are considered old school, fashionable again, such as basic manners.

Rasoeu, an innovative young man daring to be bold and courageous, also hails from the City of Roses.

Banda is an enthusiastic, dedicated and versatile lady who is an alumni of the Hotel School at the Central University of Technology, Free State. She boasts extensive international experience in the hospitality industry.

According to Lesole, there have been various challenges, of which obtaining a licence and actually launching the finished product while dealing with Covid-19 restrictions were some of the biggest. She encourages the youth, despite the many challenges, “not to sleep on themselves”.

“The mere fact that you have thought about it, means that it is nearly done. We believe that our thoughts about what we have done and what we have failed to do can also be true about our dreams and aspirations. Rely on your faith, believe it is possible and get to work,” said Lesole.
