Police spokesperson, Thabo Covane, says while Wansbury did name his alleged attackers following the incident, police are still probing the incident further before making any arrests.
According to police, Wansbury alleges on Monday, July 29, four shots were fired in the direction of his vehicle at the corner of Maluti Avenue and Kenilworth Road in the Groenvlei area.
He was hit in the thigh and abdomen before alerting police and making his way to Mediclinic in the Free State capital for treatment. It is there that he informed authorities that he knew the one suspect who is believed to have been travelling with his bodyguard.
The owner of the Sandstone Sleeper Estate and Tents for Africa is still recovering from his wounds in hospital.
